Hurricane Isaias struck the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico on July 30,2020 causing power outages, landslides and severe damage to the infrastructure. Isaias regained strength before making landfall as a Category 1 hurricane near Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina on August 3,2020. It traveled north along the Atlantic coast before moving inland over Maine and the Canadian province of Quebec. Isaias is estimated to have caused over $4 billion in damages.
