Am I still eligible to get more money from my insurance company for hurricane damages, even though I already received and cashed my insurance check(s)? Answer: Absolutely. As a policy holder, your insurance company is duty bound to fully compensate and/or reimburse you for all covered damages. Accepting an initial sum from your carrier will not exhaust your insurance carrier's existing duties. If the amount paid is not enough to cover all the repairs, you are entitled to receive more money, up to your policy limit, from your carrier, for your hurricane loss. How much will it cost me? Answer: Our fees are contingent upon our success. In the event we are not successful in obtaining policy benefits from the insurance company, than you owe us nothing. In the event we are successful, we deduct 10% from the amount we recover, with the balance being yours. Should legal council be necessary they deduct one third (33.33) from the amount recovered. Is the money I received thus far subject to HLRS fees? Answer: No. The money you have already received will remain yours and is NOT subject to HLRS fees. Any amount received above and beyond that sum, after our retention, will be subject to fees. Essentially, you have absolutely nothing to lose. Most of my repairs have been made. Am I still eligible for more benefits? Answer: Yes. In may instances, damages are in areas not visible to the naked eye or to the lay person. Regrettably, insurance adjusters often fail to find damages due to poor inspection techniques and practices. Ask yourself if your insurance adjuster did any of the following: Visit your property; thoroughly inspect each and every room; climb and inspect the roof; and/or crawled in your attic or basement space. Your insurance policy creates many duties your insurance carrier must meet. Contact us for more information. How will you find all of my damages?
